Chefcoat – Premium Wax for Culinary Tools & Craftsmanship

1 ounce tins

Protect. Condition. Elevate.

Chefcoat is designed for the makers behind the tools and their users: knife makers, woodworkers, and chefs and home cooks. Whether you're finishing a custom blade or handle, preserving a cutting board, or protecting your custom coffee scoop, Chefcoat delivers a clean finish that protects without compromise.

Crafted with a blend of carnauba wax, beeswax, MCT oil, and vitamin E, every ingredient in Chefcoat is 100% natural, food-safe, and fully transparent — no hidden additives, no petroleum byproducts, and no synthetic polymers.

Why Choose Chefcoat?

Natural Protection – Forms a breathable barrier against moisture, fingerprints, and daily wear

Clean Finish – Leaves a soft luster without tackiness or buildup

Food-Grade Ingredients – All ingredients are food grade, with nothing you wouldn’t put on your cutting board

Non-Polymerizing Formula – Won’t harden in the tin or turn gummy over time

Effortless Application – Easy to rub on, wipe off, and reapply as needed. Add a little heat for deeper absorption into wood and composite handles.

Ideal For:

- Custom knives and handles, especially carbon steel

- Wooden cutting boards

- Hand-carved utensils

- Coffee scoops

- Any wood or metal kitchenware where food-safe finishing matters

How to Use

Apply a small amount of Chefcoat to a clean, dry surface using a lint-free cloth. Rub in evenly, then buff off any excess. For enhanced penetration, especially on wood, apply some heat before or after adding the wax.

Ingredients:

Carnauba Wax, Beeswax, MCT Oil (Fractionated Coconut), Vitamin E Oil
No polymers. No solvents. No surprises.

Why did I develop Chefcoat?

I created Chefcoat because I couldn’t find a product that met my standards. I wanted a shelf-stable, soft wax to protect my culinary knives—without petroleum products, polymerizing (hardening) oils, artificial scents, or mystery ingredients. Most products marketed to knifemakers are scented, contain drying oils, or don’t disclose their contents. While polymerizing oils are effective for protecting wood and metal, I didn’t want the risks they come with—like spontaneous combustion or the wax hardening into a useless puck over time.
